Routemark

Terms and privacy

Last changed 19 October 2026. Routemark is free software that runs on your own machine, so most of what governs it is its licence. This page says the rest in plain words.

The short version

  • Routemark is free under the Apache License 2.0. The licence is the agreement for the software, and it comes with no warranty.
  • Without a key, Routemark is not a service: there is no account, and it sends us nothing. With a key your organisation's admin gave you, it sends the facts the team page lists, and nothing else.
  • Your delegate's harness talks to the provider you chose, under your login. That relationship, its terms and its cost are between you and that provider.
  • This website sets no cookies and loads nothing from other sites.

Who we are

Routemark is made by Saar Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Florida, United States. On this page "we" and "us" mean Saar Inc., and "Routemark" means the software published under that name on PyPI and GitHub.

The software

Routemark is licensed to you under the Apache License, Version 2.0. That licence is the whole agreement between you and us for the software. Nothing on this page adds to it or takes away from it. If this page and the licence disagree about the software, the licence is right.

In the licence's own terms, Routemark is provided "as is", without warranties or conditions of any kind, and its contributors are not liable for damages arising from its use. Sections 7 and 8 of the licence say this in full. Read them.

These are beta releases. They can have defects, and a later release can change how a command behaves.

Your harness and your provider

Routemark starts a coding-agent harness that you installed, with a provider and a model that you chose. We do not provide that harness, that provider or that model, and we are not a party to your agreement with any of them.

  • Their terms apply. Your use of a harness, a provider, a model or a subscription plan is governed by its own terms. Checking that those terms allow the way you use it, including through Routemark, is yours to do.
  • Their costs are yours. A delegation uses your plan or your credit with that provider. So does routemark try, which costs one short prompt.
  • They receive what the delegate reads. What a delegate reads goes to the provider you chose, under your login and its privacy terms: your project, and on an open project anything else it can reach. Routemark does not change that. On a sandboxed project, when Pi or Prime calls OpenRouter, Anthropic or OpenAI, the call passes through a small proxy of Routemark's on your own machine, which adds the API key you exported and sends it on to that provider alone; the proxy keeps nothing of what passes through it.

What stays your responsibility

  • What merges. Routemark merges only what was judged and reviewed, or what you waived the review of yourself. If your branch moved, the judged change is applied on top of it and checked again first. Whether that work is correct, safe and fit for your purpose is for you and your reviewer to decide.
  • What a delegate can reach. On an open project, which is the default, the delegate is not sandboxed. It can see what you can see, your files and your network alike. The sandbox section of the docs says what a sandboxed project does and does not fence.
  • Your credentials. You give a credential to the harness's own login. Routemark never handles its value.
  • Your backups. Keep your work in version control and backed up, as you would with any tool that changes code.

Privacy: the software

Routemark runs on your machine and, without a key, calls no service of ours. As of the date above it has no telemetry: without a key it sends us no usage data, no crash reports, no code and no task text; with a key it sends what the team page lists.

What it keeps, it keeps on your machine, in one directory, ~/.routemark, plus one routemark.toml file in each project you add. That includes the record and the kept log of each run. They are yours to read and yours to delete. Outside them it makes only what you agree to: the skill links and, if you install the launcher, its launchd entry and log.

To work out what a task cost, Routemark reads your Controller's own session records on your machine. It reads them where they are and sends them nowhere.

If you send us a report of a problem, it holds what you chose to paste. An issue on GitHub is public. Read it before you send it: a terminal can hold more than Routemark printed.

Privacy: this website

This website is a few static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, has no forms and loads nothing from other sites: its font, pictures and film are served from this site itself.

Like every website, the company that hosts it receives the address your request came from, the page asked for and the time. This site is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a Google service; what Google keeps of a request, and for how long, is set by Google's own terms.

Links on this site lead to GitHub, PyPI, team.routemark.ai, which has its own privacy page, and saarinc.tech, Saar Inc.'s own site; GitHub and PyPI are other companies' sites with their own terms and privacy policies.

Names and marks

The name Routemark and its fingerpost mark are Saar Inc.'s. The Apache License grants no right to them. You may say that your work uses or works with Routemark. You may not use the name or the mark in a way that suggests we made or endorse something we did not.

Claude and Claude Code are Anthropic's. Codex is OpenAI's. OpenCode, Prime and every other product named on this site belong to their owners. We name them only to say what Routemark works with. Routemark is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them.

Using this website

This website is information about Routemark. We try to keep it accurate, and the limits are stated on purpose, but it is provided as it is. Where this website and the software disagree about what the software does, the software is right; please tell us.

To the extent the law allows, Saar Inc. is not liable for loss arising from your use of this website or from relying on what it says.

Governing law

This page, and your use of this website, are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The Apache License governs the software on its own terms.

Changes, and how to reach us

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change to this page never changes the licence of a version of Routemark that is already published.
